Interwoven with traditional song and verse, the family encounters such well know Scottish heroes as William Wallace "Braveheart," Bonnie Prince Charlie, Flora MacDonald, and Robert the Bruce. The video of Gilchrist's Dream is a favorite with audiences, young and old, around the world.

Scotland's Heroes was born out of Kitty Lunn's vision to expand the Company's popular ballet, Gilchrist's Dream: A Ballet On Clan and Celtic Themes into a full-length, evening's entertainment. The CD features the magical music of Charlie Zahm and the glorious speaking voice of Emmy Award-winning actor and narrator, Andrew Macmillan, performing the remarkable and meaningful poetry of Robert Burns and Sir Walter Scott and other written material that deepens the listener's understanding of the rich Highland experience (including an entry from Queen Victoria's Highland Journal). Three original bagpipe tunes also grace the score.
